The line is set closely so that there’s always something in range, and we’re all for a bit of friendly banter. We relax the usual formality you might find on a traditional driven shoot—if a clay’s heading toward your neighbor, go ahead and have a crack at it!
Your day starts with coffee, bacon rolls, and drawing pegs, then it’s off for two or three drives, a break for elevenses, followed by another couple of drives before returning to the bothy for a hearty lunch or a BBQ, depending on the season. A standard day includes 3,000 clays for eight guns across five or six drives, and you’ll likely go through around 500 cartridges. Guns usually work in pairs—one shooting while the other loads—so you can stay focused on hitting those targets.
With the drives set in the heart of our game shoot, the surroundings are as real as it gets. We’ve got ten drives in total, so returning visitors will always find something fresh. We can even set you up with a full day of grouse if that’s your style.
Looking for something smaller or a bit more laid-back? We can offer days with 1,500 or 2,000 clays and still give you five drives, or we can slow down the pace to suit your team’s style. We happily cater to all kinds of groups—ladies’ days, parent-and-child outings, team-building events—and we can easily accommodate teams of 8 . With up to 60 guests on the day . If you’ve got specific ideas in mind, just get in touch.
Short on time? No problem. During summer, we offer evening shoots of 2,000 clays over three drives, finishing off with a BBQ. It’s the perfect way to end a warm day outdoors.
So come on out—whether you’re a seasoned shot or a total beginner, we’re here to make sure you have an unforgettable time.
